7 Ways To Get Rid Of Cat Smells In The House

Image
I was really tired of having to deal with ammonia smells in my home as I had two cats who would urinate all over my home. Despite proper training, they were always spraying different areas of my home and it smelled bad. So, I looked up help online and realised they were doing this because the urine smell was still in those areas. I found an article that explained how to get rid of this urine smell using natural solutions like baking soda and vinegar so that the stains could go and also the area would be deodorised. I was surprised to see the smells go away and my cats did not pee in these areas again. I am now sharing the article here so you can also use these tips to clean these urine smells. https://www.bondcleaninginipswich.com.au/7-ways-to-get-rid-of-cat-smells-in-the-house/

Emergency planning for horses

Image
With the 2023 Animal Welfare Seminar, ‘Quit horsing around: Advancing horse welfare in Australia’ coming up very soon (22/23 February – registrations are free!), horse welfare is at the front of mind here at the RSPCA. And for people who own horses, one important aspect of horse welfare is emergency planning. For many Australians, the last few years have unfortunately made it all too clear just how important it is to plan for an emergency or disaster. So if you own a horse, it’s essential to have an emergency plan in place that includes your horses (and any other animals). Our animals, including horses, rely on us completely, so we need to plan for them so that they have the best chance of being evacuated to safety if an emergency arises. Read on for advice about what to include in your emergency plan and how to best prepare. Please note this is general advice only, and exact preparations will depend on your individual horse or animal and your situation. Read More: https://www.rsp...

Tips for keeping horses cool in summer

Image
Horse welfare is on the agenda here at the RSPCA, as we gear up for the 2023 Animal Welfare Seminar, ‘Quit horsing around: Advancing horse welfare in Australia'. The Seminar will bring together a diverse range of stakeholders to share knowledge, the current science and thoughts to ensure all horses have a good quality of life, no matter their connections or relationships with people. With the Seminar coming up, but also temperatures soaring across the country, it’s also timely to consider the best ways to protect your horses from heat exhaustion and heat stress. The hot weather and humidity can take a physical toll on all animals, but it particularly affects horses as their large muscle mass and comparatively small body surface area makes it difficult for them to cool themselves. Three essential tips for holidaying with pets

Image
Summertime means holidays for many Australians – that time of year when we set off for the beach, interstate to spend time with friends and family, or just take to the road to have a break from the daily grind and make most of the good weather. But no holiday can be truly relaxing unless you’ve taken care of the needs of your pet – whether they’re travelling with you or staying behind. The RSPCA has put together a list of the key things to consider when holidaying with pets. Should they stay, or should they go? If you have a cat, the answer is they should stay – cats can become easily stressed by changes to their routine, and are not suited to travelling with their family. Your feline friend will be much happier at home, or if needed, at a suitable boarding facility. Read More: https://www.rspca.org.au/blog/2019/three-essential-tips-holidaying-pets
